A Smarter Way to Relieve Pain – Without Force or Guesswork
If you’re struggling with persistent musculoskeletal pain, stiffness, or a feeling that your body is “out of alignment,” Vector-Guided Release (VGR) offers a unique and effective approach.
It differs from many other manual therapies because it focuses on identifying the exact source of your problem and uses your body’s own active participation to achieve gentle, lasting correction.

What Makes VGR Different?
Listening to Your Body’s Signals:
VGR is based on the understanding that your body provides clear signals about where problems lie. Often, the place where you feel pain isn’t where the problem actually originates. VGR uses a specialised hands-on assessment to find specific “feedback points.”
These are often tender points that also resist movement in a particular direction, indicating an underlying mechanical restriction – a key to understanding the root cause of your discomfort. This approach draws on insights from traditional healing arts (like the concept of Ashi points in Chinese medicine) and interprets them through a modern understanding of body mechanics.
Your Active Role in Healing:
VGR is not a passive treatment. Instead of the practitioner doing all the work to you, we work with you. Once the specific restriction is identified, your practitioner will apply precise, gentle pressure to the feedback point.
Then, you will be guided to perform specific, gentle active movements. This cooperative process is designed to allow your body to “find its way” back to better alignment and function safely and naturally.
No Forceful Manipulations:
VGR does not involve sudden thrusts or “cracking.” The release and realignment come from your own guided movement, making it a very safe and comfortable experience for many, even for those with acute pain or who are apprehensive about more forceful techniques.
Focus on Sustainable Results:
By addressing the specific underlying mechanical fault, rather than just chasing symptoms, VGR aims to provide more sustainable relief and improved function.
What Conditions Can VGR Help With?
VGR can be beneficial for a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, especially those that haven’t fully responded to other treatments.
This includes:
- Chronic back and neck pain
- Persistent joint stiffness or feelings of being “stuck”
- Sciatica and some types of nerve-related pain
- Sacroiliac (SIJ) joint pain and pelvic imbalances
- Headaches originating from neck dysfunction
- Postural imbalances contributing to pain
- Lingering pain or dysfunction after an injury has healed
What to Expect in a VGR Session
Your session will begin with a thorough discussion of your symptoms and health history.
The core of the assessment involves gentle, hands-on palpation in different postures to identify the key feedback points and the nature of any restrictions.
If VGR is deemed appropriate, the treatment involves the cooperative process of targeted pressure and your guided active movements.
You are always in control, and the process is designed to be comfortable.
Many patients experience noticeable improvement in pain and movement, often after the first session.
Is VGR Right for You?
If you’re looking for a precise, gentle, and cooperative approach to address the root cause of your musculoskeletal pain, VGR may be a beneficial solution for you to explore.
